About this work

Smelting house for smelting tin ore in a mine of the Banka tin mining company in Pangkalpinang. In front of the building, tin loaves are stacked ready for transport. Part of the photo album presented to Robert Julius Boers upon his departure to the Netherlands in 1919 by the staff of the Banka tin mining company.
