About this work

Album, issued on the occasion of the opening of the new building of the School for the Training of Native Physicians at the Hospitaalweg in Weltevreden (Batavia).<BR />The construction of the new school building was co-financed by some planters.<BR />The photos are by Tan Tjie Lan, active in Passan Baru (Java) between 1895 and 1940.
