About this work

The hall of the HVA building with some European employees standing at the bottom of the large staircase. On the walls a wall relief with texts, on the right on a pedestal a bust of Queen Wilhelmina. Photo in the photo album presented to A. van der Eyk on behalf of the managers and staff of the Handelsvereniging Amsterdam (HVA) in Surabaya upon his departure from Java in April 1931.
