About this work
Swords with fire-gilded copper hilts, openwork guard plate with, among others, a garland and the State Arms, three-sided iron etched blade with a groove on each side with garland decoration. Signed on the back 'Frans Pauwels, court supplier to The Hague'. On the crossguard: dragon or sabre tassel of braided gold thread with a tassel of fire-gilded iron pear (17-2). In black leather scabbard and in brown cloth case with cord closure.
