Medal of the Third Centenary of Rembrandt's Birth in Box

Bronze medal. Obverse: bust of a man with a mustache. He wears a cap and an open cloak. In his right hand he holds a paintbrush. To the left of the man: a mill, and to the right: a church building (Westerkerk). Along the top edge: inscription and date. Reverse: centrally a palette with inscription. Behind the palette branches, including oak leaves. Inscription. Medal is in its original beige cardboard box. The lid is light rose in color with inscription in gold-colored letters. One side of the lid is missing, two sides are partially loose. The base is lined inside with dark blue velvet. It has a gold-colored rim and a white underside.
