About this work
Portrait of Hubertus Johannes van Mook (1894-1965), Minister of Colonies. After the Japanese invasion, Van Mook fled from the Dutch East Indies to Australia and then went to London. In London, he became the Dutch Minister of Colonies. The line network on the photo was applied by artist Cor Visser. On the back of the photo there are pencil notes.
