About this work
The harbor site where sand is being pumped for ground improvement, July 1922. Workers are lined up along the sides of the site, and a supervisor stands on the dike. Part of the group of loose photographs on the construction of the Belawan harbor on the coast of Medan, Sumatra 1921-1922.
