Storage jar from the wreck of the East Indiaman 'De Witte Leeuw', 100% complete. Dark brown glazed earthenware storage jar with four lugs for securing the lid. The jar is decorated with an engraved band below the neck, just above the lugs. The glaze is missing in several parts of the body. The jar was built using the coil technique. On the inside, deposits of shells and coral.
