About this work
A group of Marrons with their boats on the shore of the Marowijne (Maroni) at Albina. In the distance, the island with dwellings for lepers deported there. Part of the photo album Souvenir de Voyage (part 4), about the life of the Dooyer family in and around the Ma Retraite plantation in Suriname in the years 1906–1913.
