About this work

Blue velvet box belonging to a ducat from the wreck of the East Indiaman 't Vliegend Hart. The interior is lined with blue felt. The inside of the lid bears the inscription: 'Het vliegend Hart, treasure recovered from the Dutch East Indiaman 't Vliegend Hart (1735).
