Double-barrelled flintlock wheel-lock carbine or pistol

Double-barrel flintlock revolving carbine or pistol. The rear lockplate is engraved with leafy vines around the word MASTRECK. The two barrels are mounted one above the other; the barrels are round, except for the flattened areas at the rear top, with a front sight notch, and on the right; on top of the muzzle is a silver front sight patch. One of the barrels has three marks on top: an indistinct stamp, and subsequently the proof and inspection marks of the Gunmakers Company of London. The walnut stock consists of three parts: a fore-end, grooved on both sides, with the ramrod on one side, then a short piece, and then after two separating plates an open so-called skeleton stock; between the last two pieces the stock is removable, so that the small rifle can also be used as a pistol.
