About this work
Two boys splash in the sea at Noordwijk. On the beach lie remnants from WWII, the so-called 'rubble asparagus' or anti-tank obstacles, which the Germans used in fear of an Allied airborne landing to try to block the road. In the background lies Noordwijk with its lighthouse.
