About this work
Photo album with a vertically striped colored fabric cover. It contains 20 cream-colored interior leaves bound with a green cord. The album contains 84 black-and-white photographs of a holiday in 1936 along the Nile in Egypt aboard the ship 'Princesa Olga', starting in Athens and Split. Photographs include, among others, the Sphinx, Cairo, the Great Pyramid of Giza, Luxor, statues of Ramses II, the Valley of the Kings, the Deir El Bahari temple in Thebes, the tomb of Tutankhamun, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak, a dam, a Berber village, Philae, etc. Twelve photographs are missing. Photographs are accompanied by captions.
