Student album of Indologists, 1930-1931

Photo album with a faded green fabric cover. It contains 20 grey interior leaves, with parchment between them, bound with a green cord. The interior contains 122 black-and-white photographs of, among other things, the World Exhibition in Antwerp (1930), group photographs of Indologists at a ball in castle 'Oud-Wassenaar', Groningen, the Wadden Sea, Zorgvliet in The Hague, the Betuwe, Doorn, the tennis club, a boat trip on a luxury passenger ship ("Harry Seidel" from Danzig). A photograph with 'Greetings from Cairo'. In the beginning, the photographs are accompanied by captions. Approximately 10 photographs are missing. The album was likely compiled by the young Dutch woman who appears in many of the photographs.
