About this work
German General Christiansen, Wehrmacht Commander in the Netherlands of the Luftwaffe, upon his arrival in the Netherlands to stand trial, among other things, for his role in the Putten tragedy. He was arrested in Germany and transferred to Arnhem. He was sentenced to 12 years but was released in 1951.
