About this work
The funeral of WA man Hendrik Bannink. He was shot by the resistance fighter Jan Heusdens in the Sterreboschstraat on 10 February 1943. The coffin is being pulled on an open wagon by horses through the streets of Haarlem. Behind and beside them are members of the WA and NSB. Onlookers on the side, some giving the NSB salute. Jan Heusdens, member of the RVV, Council of Resistance, survived the war.
