General der Flieger and Oberbefehlshaber der Wehrmacht Friedrich Christiansen (third from left) arrives in The Hague on the Lange Poten in the company of a number of high-ranking German officers. In the background spectators and photographers. He remained during the war the commander of the Wehrmacht in the Netherlands. He was also the one who in 1944 gave the order for the raid in Putten.
