About this work

German Wehrmacht soldiers, one in a tank with a cap and binoculars, talking to each other on the street in Rotterdam-Zuid. The one on the left has a helmet on, wears glasses and has binoculars around his neck. In the background the Feyenoord Clinic can be seen. On the right, Dutch people with bicycles are talking. It would concern German tanks of the 9th Panzer Division making contact with the men of the 3rd Battalion. The photo was probably taken around the capitulation of the Netherlands on 15 May 1940.
