About this work
Portrait photograph of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin) in three-quarter view. The photo is retouched, likely already on the negative. Lenin has grey hair in places. The bottom edge of the photographic paper is missing. On the reverse, various stamps: 'Printed in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics' and a red stamp with the date 18 January 1952. In pencil: 'Waarheid' (the CPN daily newspaper) and 'spiegelen'. Old glue on the back.
