About this work

Decorated locomotive in the shed. The locomotive is decorated with the coat of arms of Suriname, Dutch flags and garlands of leaves and flowers. A group of Surinamese men poses by the locomotive. This may be the train used for the opening of the Lawa railway line in Paramaribo in 1905.
