About this work

A group of fourteen European men sitting and standing posing around a table with glasses of jenever, in front of a veranda, likely at a club in Batavia. Part of the red photo album with photos of Java, formerly in the possession of pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
