About this work

View of a dwelling house under palm trees. In front of the house a European couple with a hobby horse, in front of the house a carriage with coachman and two horses and Indian servants, probably in Batavia. Part of the second green photo album with photos of Java, from the collection of pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
