About this work

The residence of Ulrich and Sophie Niederer-Rumpus on Koningsplein in Batavia. The inhabitants pose on the veranda; in front of the house is a carriage. Part of the second green photo album with photos of Java, formerly owned by pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
