About this work
Allegory of a virtue with a starry crown sitting on a personification of war or violence. In the left hand the virtue holds a pyramid-shaped object. With Latin motto Vicit vim virtus. Reconstructed from two fragments. A part of the cord with which the prints in the Nova Zembla collection are bound together is still visible in this print.
