About this work
Two fragmentary prints with a landscape with a fountain. Thisbe discovers her dying lover Pyramus, upon which she commits suicide with his sword. Pyramus has stabbed himself because he thought that Thisbe had been killed by a lion. In the background the lion runs. In the lower margin a Latin text. The fragment with the dying Pyramus is missing.
