About this work

Series shows the exhumation of executed persons on the Waalsdorpervlakte in June 1945, shortly after the end of the war. The series shows the discovery of the bodies, the exhumation and the examination by a pathologist. Also the moving of the bodies and their placement in new coffins is depicted. All takes place in the presence of Dutch military personnel, two German military personnel in uniform. Exhumation and lifting of the coffins is done by men in civilian clothes, presumably former NSB members.
