About this work

Large plate on a footring with a wavy rim. Painted in underglaze blue with black and gold on the glaze. A broad band with strapwork and floral scrolls in blue and gold runs around the rim. In the center, the coat of arms of the Swellengrebel family in black and gold: a French lily on an oval shield and a stag's antlers above a crown as the crest.
