About this work

Representation made of human hair, consisting of a weeping willow, an hourglass, and a monument with initials (A.N.M. / M.W.v.D.) and an inscription (Deceased March 27 and April 3, 1809 / Here rest the weary of strength). Oval representation, set in a rectangular frame with a copper-colored metal inner border and an eye for hanging at the top.
