About this work

Gilded copper medal with broken suspension loop. Obverse: bust of a woman with a diadem within a legend. Reverse: a helmeted woman, representing the Netherlands, holding in her outstretched hands a cushion on which a crown lies; in front of her sits History, who writes with a pen on a tablet; in the foreground to the right a coat of arms surrounded by laurel branches.
