About this work

In the foreground an enclosed area strewn with stones where a farmer is busy with a buffalo, while another buffalo looks in the direction of an estate that lies behind it. Two small figures in front of the house, which is a complex consisting of various buildings. Inscription; middle: HET GEZIGT VANT HEERE HUYS VAN BUYTENZORG AF TE ZIEN VAN DE KOEKRAAL TUSSEN DE 3DE EN 4DE PYLAER, 52 PAALEN VAN BATAVIA. Signed and dated.
