About this work
Richly decorated silver table piece presented to Mr. J.Th. Cremer in 1883. Star-shaped base with eight points supporting an octagonal section with four protruding elephants and an inscription. Between the vase and the base, four supporting fish. On the vase, scenes from Chinese life. Two handles in the form of dragons. On top, a separate lid crowned with a Chinese mandarin.
