Lance from the armour rack of Governor-General J.C. Baron Baud

Round wooden shaft with a copper casing around the lower part. At the bottom of the shaft a copper baluster-shaped knob. At the top the shaft is wrapped with rope, which is treated with a black layer. On the casing a copper ring is attached. The blade is of patterned steel, is narrow in shape and tapers to a sharp point. Centrally on both sides of the blade in relief a gilded fern motif.
