About this work
Oval thin ivory disc with a pen drawing of a man's bust. Signed below the drawing 'Nachtegaal f' and on the back 'Nachtegaal fecit'. The portrait depicts an old man with a skullcap and a square collar. This portrait was originally in a double frame with that of Const. Huygens. (NG-KOG-1525-B). Oval ivory portrait, frame missing, pen on ivory. Older man with short hair, beard and skullcap, wide flat collar, black shirt, turned slightly to the right.
