About this work

Right shoulder plate, iron, bright, consisting of three plates with four riveted strips for protection of the upper arm. The cabled edges are flanged. On the front of the shoulder plate is an ornament of a figure holding a chalice and turning away her face. The figure is surrounded by an oval figure that terminates in the head of a mythical creature, flanked on both sides by two female figures. On both sides of the shoulder plate two volutes with heads of figures in the center. On the back of the shoulder plate an oval figure that terminates in a mythical creature with two female figures below it. In the center of this figure is an etched woman holding an object in her right hand and a shield in her left hand. Below the flanged edges yellow copper rivets with ornaments around them. On top of the shoulder plate an iron belt with an iron buckle. At the ends of the upper arm tube a leather belt with an iron buckle.
