About this work
Entirely iron lock; the cock is fully engraved with rocaille work. The lock plate bears the inscription 'SEBASTL. SCHEIDTOGGER IN SALZBURG', surrounded by scrolling motifs, with the spindle passing through the center of the plate. The escutcheon is engraved with scrolling motifs.
