Booklet bound in leather with gilded edges in a case. On the first page the coat of arms of the Netherlands, on the following page the title above. On the subsequent pages the signatures of the three members of the Japanese embassy to the Netherlands in 1862, each signature on the right-hand page, and the translation and function in Dutch on the left-hand page. The signatures are of Takeno-Utsi Simodske no Kami (Prince of Simodske), first ambassador (Ljoo-si); Matsu-daira Iwami no Kami (Prince of Iwami), vice-ambassador (Fu-si); Kyo-kok Noto no Kami (Prince of Noto), inspector (Metske). The rest of the booklet is blank.
