About this work

Fragment of a ship's flag, the upper right corner, painted on one side. In the center a crowned coat of arms (presumably of León and Castile), surrounded by the chain of the Golden Fleece, and on a red club cross. On the fly side a Corinthian column surrounded by a scroll with the inscription: PLUS ULT[RA]. This flag presumably bears the symbols of the Archdukes of the Southern Netherlands Albert and Isabella (1598-1621).
