Half Model of an 18-Gun Brig

Polychromed half-model (starboard side) of a three-master. The planking above the wales is closed, with nine painted gunports on one deck. Bow elaborated with figurehead and stem figure of a gilded scroll, a lion's mask on the crane beam. Tumblehome stern, hollow false keel, transom with half the coat of arms, no side galleries; rudder with round rudder head (Soetermeer version). Sheer rising slightly forward and aft, one wale and one wainscot. Framed with round spars. Scale 1:40 (scale on model).
