Half Model of a Fireship

Partial frame and partial rib model (starboard) of a single-masted ship. The hull above the waterline is closed and has eight oar ports. Four levels: very low lower deck with frames beneath; slightly higher, a gangway along the side with combustible material (bundles of twigs); half-deck and forecastle deck, on the forecastle deck a chimney and a spit; upper deck. Removable deck beams lie over the well. In the hold, two square boxes hang from chains. Round stern. The stem and sternpost curve forward and aft, with two oak planks and one elm plank. Round frame with a flat bottom. One mast amidships.
