About this work

Model of a tackle block consisting of four blocks. The blocks are lashed in pairs so that the sheaves of each pair stand perpendicular to each other, and the outer and inner blocks of the tackle run parallel. Of the upper pair, the outer block has five sheaves, the inner three; of the lower pair, the inner block has three and the outer four. The rope runs through the upper block to the inner block of the lower pair, back and forth between the two inner blocks, further to the lower block, and finally back and forth between the two outer blocks.
