About this work
Model of a device for spinning hemp yarn. Between two crosses, a gear mechanism is set, consisting of a large gear wheel in the middle and four small ones at the ends of the arms. The axles of the small gear wheels are extended with a hook on which a cross-spindle: the yarn is wrapped around the cross-spindle and passed through the hook, which takes it along in its rotational movement. The large gear wheel is driven by a crank. One of the arms of the cross is extended for attaching the spinning wheel to a fixed point.
