About this work

Model of a cannon on a wheeled carriage. The 49 cm long wooden barrel is painted black and has a caliber of 30 mm. The cascabel ring is open, the bracket is missing, the barrel has a breech elevation with a sight, a sight on the front trunnion band and one on the grape. The cross-bracing of the carriage with two nearly parallel cheeks is formed by a diagonal knee with a breastplate and breast flap, the front axle box, and the sole plate which also serves as the rear axle box. The sole plate has a track for the leveling block and is extended with a beam to the front axle box; however, the leveling block and wedge have been replaced by an elevating screw. On the inside of the rear cheeks, brackets have been attached for two trail irons. Square cushions are placed under the axle boxes. The wooden wheels are double and of equal diameter. The model has eye bolts, trunnion caps and other fittings. Scale 1:5 (scale on model).
