About this work

Model of an optical telegraph with code. The telegraph consists of a wooden board with seven different sawn-out shapes in a row, which can be covered with brass flap doors. The code, pasted on paper with ink on a separate plank, indicates the signal combinations for the letters of the alphabet and three punctuation marks: the comma, the colon, and the period.
