About this work
Hat serving as filling for the missing duchess crown by the King of Spain awarded to Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter. Of canopic form and manufactured of orange/brown velvet, set with figuration of flowers and leaves, consisting of pearls and green stones. Folded in five compartments, each with three flowers. Lining coarse linen. At the top a label is attached with the text: NM 1004.
