Algerian saber or nimcha

Nimcha, or curved sabre of Algerian manufacture. The hilt consists of a handle decorated with tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl mounted with engraved silver; the copper chased knuckle-bow does not attach from above to the handle. The wooden scabbard is covered with blue cloth, on which figures in cut leather are sewn, which are filled with blue and green velvet. The scabbard still has the leather belt with copper buckle.
