About this work
Copper medal on a suspension loop and ring. Obverse: bust of a woman with a diadem within an inscription. Reverse: helmeted woman, representing the Netherlands, holding in her outstretched hands a cushion upon which lies a crown; before her sits History, writing with a pen on a tablet; in the foreground right, a shield surrounded by laurel branches; with an orange ribbon in the bottom of the corresponding black box with an inscription in gold.
