About this work

Iron sword with a broad fuller. The blade is single-edged and engraved with floral motifs, a crescent moon, and two crossed flags. Various signs are engraved on both sides of the fuller. The name Solingen and the initials J.W.E. are on the ricasso. Leaves are engraved on the convex back of the blade. The hilt of the sword is missing. The tang of the blade is slightly bent at the end.
