About this work
Gunpowder test pistol (force meter), percussion, with two iron bows of which the upper bow is the measuring instrument. The bows are fixed to an iron fork. Above the lockplate an iron cock and under the lockplate an iron trigger guard with trigger, lockplate engraved with a plant motif. The stock is entirely of wood and fixed to the lock with a screw. The pistol was dredged from a ditch behind the Alexander Barracks in The Hague.
