About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Nijmegen in the guise of a woman with a liberty cap, Medusa shield, and a book with three seals trampling a snake; in the background a Roman curule chair and two fasces within an inscription. Reverse: besiegers on the city walls being bombarded within an inscription, with an inscription above.
