Reverse: illuminated by heavenly light, the Netherlands, depicted as a helmeted woman with a shield of the seven provinces, protects a kneeling man holding a staff and hat in his hand, with a woman and child behind him, while she points with her other hand to an altar upon which lie a Bible and a liberty cap; behind the altar stand Religion with a flame on her head and Charity, who scatters money on the altar; at the foot of the altar lies the Dutch lion with a bundle of arrows within an inscription; cut-off: inscription.
